Abstract

This paper work summarizes the most relevant aspects of human cavum septum pellucidum, from the structural and functional, as well as its main clinical aspects to consider in medical practice. It is emphasized that this space in the middle line of the brain is a virtual or real cavity, depending of the stage of development during the vital cycle, with important implications for the diagnostic of normality or pathology in diverse fields of medicine, such as neurology and gynecology-obstetrics.
