Resumen
El presente trabajo resume los aspectos más relevantes sobre el cavum septum pellucidum humano, desde lo estructural y funcional, así como sus principales aspectos clínicos a tener en cuenta en la práctica médica. Se resalta que dicho espacio de la línea media del cerebro, es una cavidad virtual o real, dependiente del estado del desarrollo durante el ciclo vital, con importantes implicaciones para el diagnóstico de normalidad o patológico en diversos campos de la Medicina, como lo son el Neurológico y el Gineco-obstétrico.
