Resumen
La nocardiosis diseminada es una enfermedad grave, especialmente cuando hay afectación del sistema nervioso central. Se presenta el caso de una mujer adulta, VIH negativa, que presentó nocardiosis diseminada con afectación pulmonar, muscular, articular, encefálica y ocular. Nocardia spp. fue cultivada a partir de biopsia de masa pulmonar. El manejo fue difícil debido a la falta de respuesta al tratamiento antibiótico tradicional con trimetropín-sulfametoxazol, amikacina, ceftriaxona y meropenem. Finalmente, mejoró con el tratamiento conjugado de linezolid, claritromicina y moxifloxacino durante varios meses. Se discuten aspectos relacionados con el tratamiento de esta enfermedad.
