Resumen
El concepto de disquinesia surgió para denominar cualquier tipo de movimiento anormal hiperquinético secundario al uso crónico de antipsicóticos, no obstante, se considera en la actualidad que se debe definir de manera más exacta la fenomenología predominante del tipo de síndrome tardío, ya que no solo se puede presentar con el síntoma clásico del movimiento coreico oro-buco-lingual, también puede presentarse con distonía.
