How have I experienced through the last 31 years my involvement in the Colombian Association of Neurology? - (2016-2018)

Abstract

I have the honor of being at the moment the current president of the Colombian Association of Neurology (ACN), period 2016-2018, I will tell you how I have lived the Association since I decided to become a clinical neurologist.

During the obligatory social service in 1987 that I performed at the Hospital San José de Bogotá, founding with Dr. Roberto Suárez, clinical neurologist and today professor of Morphology at the University Foundation and Dr. Elmer Escobar Cifuentes who was an attaché of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Research Department of the Hospital, we conducted two investigations that were published in Acta Neurológica on neurocysticercosis and vascular disease in young patients.
