Abstract

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system of unknown etiology. MS takes several forms, with new symptoms occurring either in attacks (relapsing forms) or slowly accumulating over time (progressive forms) in any location in the white matter. Young people women account for the most affected population with an onset between 20 and 40 years age. The burden of this disease lies in the disability generated, being the first cause of this condition in non-elderly people. We show a case in which the only clinical manifestation was, episodic neuropathic pain in the second and third trigeminal branch fulfilling diagnostic criteria for definite MS.
