Abstract

Diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer Disease should be supported by epidemiological data and by costs of its overall impact. Developing countries, with uncertain economic future, have higher prevalence and incidence of dementia.

This paper present a narrative review of demographic, statistical, governmental and economic studies of dementia and the burden of this disease in health services
